Tess Vaughn, PT, DPT, COMT, OCS

Dr. Vaughn graduated from North Georgia College and State University in 1996 with a Master's in Physical Therapy.  She received her advanced certification in orthopedic manual therapy in 2004 through the Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy Seminars and completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Regis University in Denver, CO in August 2009.  In 2010 Dr. Vaughn earned the Orthopedic Clinical Specialist designation through the American Physical Therapy Association and is now certified to practice Dry Needling in the state of Georgia.

Dr. Vaughn has presented nationally on the cervicothoracic and lumbosacral spine and is a book reviewer for the Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy.  She is currently the Education Chair for the Orthopaedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Tess opened Medical Rehab Systems in Winterville in 2005 to serve the needs of the residents of Winterville, East Athens, Oglethorpe County and Madison County.   It has been her goal to provide exceptional service to her community and her hometown.

Julia Carver, PT, MS

Julia graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy in 2002 and has practiced in the Athens area in a variety of settings (with a heavy emphasis with the geriatric population). She returned to her desired setting of outpatient physical therapy in February 2014. Julia is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, member of the Geriatric section and the Physical Therapy Association of Georgia. Additional training and education in Vestibular Rehabilitation, Balance and Fall Prevention, Functional Tests and Measures for the Geriatric population, Clinical Orthopedic Techniques for Geriatrics, Geriatric Manual Therapy, Geriatric Exercise, Kinesiology Taping, and Pediatric coursework. She is beginning the manual therapy certification process through Evidence in Motion. Julia is excited to be serving this community!

Denise Bailey

Denise is from Athens, GA.   She is married to Danny Bailey, firefighter for Athens Clarke County, and has two sons.  She attended Valdosta State University and has 10 years of experience in Home Health Care.  Denise was an Office Manager for a nursing home for 5 yrs after which she chose to stay home with her young sons.  She spent 7 years as an administrator for an Assisted Living Home and she has been with Medical Rehab Systems since 2014 as the Office Manager.
